ive been tracking this space closely and the part people sleep on is audio sync. lip sync and ambient sound matching are still genuinely bad in most tools. sora, runway, all of them. thats the bottleneck nobody talks about.
mostly solved is doing a lot of work there. try any fast motion or camera pan and you still get that smearing artifact. consistent on static shots, sure. but thats not most filmmaking.
genuine question for filmmakers here - are you finding these tools useful for pre-viz/storyboarding specifically? that use case seems way less threatening and more practical than actual production replacement.
yeah this matches my experience too. 3d generation from video is the next frontier and its already happening
just tried this and yeah it works. video generation quality jumped like 3 years in the last 6 months
